Access: Accommodations and Alternative Format

We are sorry we're using proprietary formats on this page, and understand the problems that proprietary formats create for progressive social movements, like USSF. Unfortunately, there are no good solutions for making open document formats such as ODF or RTF accessible, especially to those with visual disabilities who require Braille. We have no choice but to provide our documents in the DOC format, if we want these documents to be accessible to all, given the limits of today's technology.

All USSF materials are available in alternative formats upon request. If you need specific materials in alternative format, prior to June 22nd email requests to access@ussf2010.org preferably by May 3rd; or call (248) 956-0354. Please specify exactly what materials you need. (See downloadable accommodations request, individual and organization registration and scholarship request files at the bottom of the page.)

ACCOMMODATIONS at the US SOCIAL FORUM REQUEST FORM

A request is not a guarantee that the accommodation will be provided exactly as you describe. Every effort is being made to make the USSF as accessible as possible. Accommodation requests received prior to May 3, 2010 have a much greater likelihood of being provided. An accommodation is not housing - see http://ussf2010.org/logistics for housing info.
