Access Information During the Forum

The Disability Justice Committee will have a table at Cobo Hall for persons who need disability access accommodations, are encountering disability access issues, or want to know what disability-specific related events are taking place during the USSF. To get the latest information on workshops, how to get around venues, interpretation and translation, advocates and guides, please visit the Disability Access Information table near registration on the ground floor of Cobo Hall, email access@ussf2010.org, or call (248) 956-0354. You can also pick up a program that details various accommodations at USSF and events related to disability access and disability justice.

The USSF is making great efforts to ensure this event is accessible to people with disabilities. We are constrained by the use of some buildings and sites that are not compliant to the ADA. Cobo Hall offers the best disability access and it is suggested that people with access and support needs center their activities at Cobo Hall.

All USSF materials are available in alternative formats upon request. If you need specific materials in alternative format, prior to June 22nd email requests to access@ussf2010.org, or call (248) 956-0354. Please specify exactly what materials you need. USSF Accessibility Accommodations Request Form

Every effort is being made to make the USSF as accessible as possible. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that every accommodation request will be provided exactly as you describe. Please fill out the access accommodation form for help with access needs

Accessible Transportation

The USSF will provide shuttle service between program venues. Several of the shuttles will be ADA accessible. Please check in at the Disability Access Information table for schedules and routes.

Detroit's public transportation system, DDOT, also offers para-transit service. USSF organizers are in the process of coordinating with the city to make this service available to USSF participants. Be sure to bring your ADA Identification Card and check in at the Disability Access Information Kiosk to find out details about para-transit services.

ASL Interpretation

ASL interpretation for the self-organized workshops will be coordinated by the Deaf & Deaf-Blind Committee on Human Rights, which is bringing its own delegation of Deaf and Deaf-Blind individuals. Instead of interpreting for specific workshops, we will be providing ASL interpretation directly to Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of Hearing individuals.
