Detroit Local Organizing Committee (DLOC)

USSF Detroit Local Organizing Committee

The Detroit Local Organizing Committee (DLOC) is made up of dozens of grassroots social movement organizations and many wonderful activists, artists, youth, parents & cultural workers from across southeast Michigan. In conjunction with the four anchors organizations--Michigan Welfare Rights Organization (MWRO), East Michigan Environmental Action Council (EMEAC), Centro Obrero de Detroit, and Southeast Michigan Jobs with Justice--they are responsible for outreach & logistical organizing for USSF II Detroit in June 2010.

There are over 10 local committees working to organize a variety of Midwest organizations and Detroit stakeholders.

The Detroit LOC holds organizing meetings every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 5:30pm (new member orientation at 5:15pm) at the USSF Detroit office (23 E. Adams, 4th Floor, Detroit, MI, 48226; in the Central United Methodist Church building). All are invited and support is needed and appreciated!
