How & Why To Use The AMC/USSF Housing & Rideshare Board

Thousands of people are making their way to Detroit this summer to attend the Allied Media Conference and US Social Forum.

Many want to stay for the full 10 days of both events - from June 17 to 26, but will only be able to do so if they can secure affordable housing (from cheap to free!). Other people can afford to stay in a hotel for that whole time but would rather invest their money in Detroit neighborhoods than downtown hotels.

AMC and USSF organizers want to make sure everyone has housing, and we also want to see as many resources as possible flow into our communities as a result of these two events. In order to facilitate this match-making, Allied Media Projects has built a message board system where people who have housing to offer and people who need housing can find each other.

If you or people you know are interested in making your house available, go to:

http://talk.alliedmediaconference.org/message-boards

and follow the instructions to create a post. (The message board can also be found along with full housing options at the USSF website Logistics section)

Make sure to include:
* Where your house is located in relation to WSU and Cobo Hall
* Approximately how many people it could hold comfortably
* Whether or not you have pets
* What dates it will be available and what price range you would accept for rent.
* How you would like to be contacted

If you have any trouble posting to the site, please email: info@alliedmediaconference.org and we will resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS MESSAGE TO ANYONE ELSE YOU KNOW WHO MAY WANT TO OFFER HOUSING. Thank you!
