USSF logistics coordinators have arranged a variety of travel discounts to Detroit.
- Delta/Northwest is offering the following: 5% off full
roundtrip fares and 2% off published discounted fares from Atlanta,
Cincinnati, Memphis, Minneapolis, and Salt Lake City. These are “Hub”
markets. For non-Hub cities,
the discount is greater: 7% reduction on regular flights, and 5%
additional discounts on already discounted flights, roundtrip. At least 10
people have to be traveling from one or more city in this state, (don’t
have to be traveling together). When booking reservations, use this Ticket
Designator code: NM5GC. You can’t do this
on-line, so call: (800) 328-1111 when making reservations.
- Southwest is offering a similar discount, but we
have no Ticket Designator code to share. Contact the Group Rate Office at:
(800) 433- 5368.
- Spirit Airlines is offering a 10% discount off any published fare. The code to book online with Spirit is: UNITED.
- Megabus is offering discounted rates from all
the cities they service, to support attendees coming to the US Social
Forum. The earlier tickets are secured, the cheaper. Go to: Megabus.com if you have
computer access, and make certain your city is on their service route.

- Amtrak: We are in
final negotiations with Amtrak and those discounts will appear
within days, but they are unyielding so don’t expect much!
- Greyhound: We are investigating discounts and
will have more info soon.
